About Us

We Built VirtuAc Because We Lived the Problem

Every Israeli accountant knows the invoice pile. We decided to do something about it.

Our Story

Hundreds of Invoices. One Accountant. No Time Left for Actual Accounting.

The problem is simple and universal in Israel: suppliers send invoices through every conceivable channel — WhatsApp messages from a plumber, PDF attachments in Gmail from a logistics company, forwarded scans on Telegram from a remote vendor. Every one of those invoices needs to end up in Hashavshevet or Priority, with every field entered correctly.

Manual entry is slow. At 20 to 30 invoices per hour under ideal conditions, a bookkeeper managing even a mid-sized client portfolio spends days each month doing nothing but typing numbers from one screen into another. And even careful, experienced people make errors — wrong invoice numbers, transposed digits in a VAT amount, a missing allocation number that causes a tax headache six months later.

We started building VirtuAc in 2024 after watching this play out repeatedly in Israeli accounting firms. Not as an abstract product exercise — as a direct response to a real operational failure that was costing firms real money and real time, every month.

The Numbers That Drove Us

40+
Hours per month lost to data entry
Per bookkeeper, in a firm managing 15 mid-sized clients
2%
Typical manual entry error rate
Each error risks VAT reconciliation failures and supplier disputes
4
Channels accountants must monitor
Gmail, WhatsApp, Telegram, Outlook — all sending invoices simultaneously

Our Mission

Give Israeli Accountants Their Time Back

VirtuAc's mission is to make invoice processing invisible. An invoice arrives from a supplier. It is read, extracted, validated, and pushed to your accounting software — without anyone touching a keyboard. The accountant's job is to do accounting, not data entry. We take the data entry off the table entirely.

We built VirtuAc specifically for the Israeli market because the Israeli accounting software ecosystem — Hashavshevet, Priority, and the VAT rules that govern everything — requires deep, local knowledge. Generic international invoice tools do not understand allocation numbers, do not speak Hebrew, and do not map to Israeli chart-of-accounts conventions. VirtuAc does, because it was built for Israel from the ground up.

Why VirtuAc

Built Differently, On Purpose

There are generic OCR tools. There are international invoice platforms. VirtuAc is neither. Here is what makes it different.

Israeli Compliance Built In

Allocation number detection, VAT threshold enforcement, Israeli date formats, and Hebrew OCR are not add-ons — they are core to how VirtuAc works.

Every Channel, One Inbox

Suppliers do not use one channel. Neither does VirtuAc — it ingests from Gmail, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Outlook simultaneously, routing everything to one unified workflow.

No Engineering Required

VirtuAc is built for accountants, not IT departments. Connect your accounts with OAuth, configure your export settings in minutes, and start processing invoices the same day.

Export-Ready Output

VirtuAc does not just extract data — it produces files that Hashavshevet and Priority accept directly. No intermediate spreadsheet manipulation or format conversion needed.

Secure by Default

Invoice data is encrypted in transit and at rest. OAuth connections use read-only scopes where possible. VirtuAc never stores your email or messaging credentials.

Local Support, Real People

Our support team is based in Israel and answers in Hebrew and English. We understand the Israeli accounting context — not just the software, but the tax rules and workflows.

The Team

Built by People Who Understand Israeli Accounting

VirtuAc was founded by a team with backgrounds in software engineering, AI, and Israeli financial operations. We spent months working directly with accounting firms in Tel Aviv and central Israel before writing the first line of production code — understanding the real workflow, the real pain points, and the specific requirements of Hashavshevet and Priority integrations.

Our team includes engineers who have built high-throughput document processing pipelines, accountants who have lived through manual invoice entry firsthand, and product specialists who have worked with Israeli SMBs on their accounting workflows. That combination — technical depth plus deep domain knowledge — is what lets us build something that works correctly in the Israeli context, not just in the abstract.

We are headquartered in Tel Aviv and we operate exclusively in the Israeli market. This is not a geographic limitation — it is a deliberate choice. Solving invoice automation correctly for Israel, where the regulatory environment, language, and accounting systems are specific, requires full focus on that one market.
